CS 6386 --
Telecommunication Software Design - we will teach socket
programming,
- real time
programming concepts, and in-depth study of TCP/IP. We will also
apply the
- object
oriented approach, and emphasis web related applications. There will be
- programming
projects using .Net or Java, from which students can gain strong GUI
- skills.
In this course, we will teach how to program various DSP
processors such as TI's
DSP
processors, ARM, ADI's processors, and others. DSP processors are
widely used in various
embedded systems. There is a high demand for people
who have the skills
of programming these
processors. This course is probably
the only course that is cross-listed in CS, CE, and EE.
