Admission
To enter our graduate program in Molecular and Cell Biology you will need a minimum combined score of 1000 on the verbal and quantitative GRE exams. For foreign applicants, a TOEFL of at least 80 is required.
Your admission to the graduate program requires approval by the Graduate Education Committee (GEC). The major factor for admission rests on the judgment of Committee members that you have a reasonable chance of successfully completing M.S. and Ph.D. degree requirements.
Outstanding Ph.D. degree applicants will receive a full tuition and fees scholarship, medical health care benefits, and a stipend of $13,500. The total value of the package for the 9 month 2009-2010 academic year, including stipend, medical insurance, and scholarship, was approximately $23,729. Attractive and inexpensive student apartments are available on campus.

The graduate experience
Your graduate education begins with well-taught core courses in Biochemistry Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Macromolecular Physical Chemistry. As a Master's or Ph.D. candidate, you will conduct cutting-edge research in a laboratory of your choosing.
