What is QEP?

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is an important component of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) reaffirmation process. It describes an in-depth, focused five-year plan that UT Dallas will develop with broad-based community support to significantly enhance student learning on the UT Dallas campus. As such, unlike much of the work associated with accreditation, the QEP looks to the future.

Before you start you will need glue, tape, and scissors. It's best to work at a table or desk where you have plenty of room. Download Instructions (Adobe PDF PDF)
1. Cut out the flexahedron if necessary, and fold along all lines. Fold diagonally from top left to lower right; diagonally from top right to lower left, and finally all straight lines from top to bottom. GEMS flexahedron

2. Make sure all fold lines are very flexible. Bend each back and forth a time or two to ensure ease of movement. Apply glue to the three largest grey tabs at the top.
3. Using the fold lines as a guide, roll the first tab around back and glue to inside forming two pyramids. Continue to roll and glue until you've created a chain of pyramids. Finish seams with clear tape where necessary.
4. Finally, take the two ends of your chain and bring together to form a circle. Apply glue to the two small remaining tabs and insert into the other end. Finish with clear tape where necessary.
