Giving

Every Gift Counts

Your gift will allow the Ackerman Center to continue to carry out its essential mission — teaching Holocaust, genocide, and human rights studies to this and future generations. With your help, the center will be able to continue to fulfill its charge of Teaching the Past…Changing the Future.

The University of Texas at Dallas launched a campaign: New Dimensions: A Campaign for UT Dallas. The Ackerman Center has joined this inspiring campaign to answer the question, “What’s Next?”

Funding Priorities

The Ackerman Center has built an international reputation for impactful research, education and advocacy. New Dimensions: The Campaign for UT Dallas offers the opportunity for the center to engage an expanded audience through both traditional and digital outreach efforts while ensuring that the world’s best scholars continue to call the Ackerman Center home. During the campaign, the Ackerman Center is prioritizing the following critical initiatives:

  • Expansion and enhancement of the Ackerman Center’s physical footprint.
    • Construct additional space to grow the Ackerman Center.
    • Create a smart hybrid classroom and upgrade technology for online teaching.
  • Creation of a digital research center of Holocaust, genocide and human rights studies.
    • Enable access to Holocaust, genocide and human rights education online.
    • Engage museums, educators and professionals to instruct students and the general public through a digital classroom.
  • Attract and support the best and brightest students.
    • Create new endowments for merit- and need-based scholarships.
    • Augment existing scholarships and fellowships with increased support.
    • Generate programmatic funding for dynamic educational experiences.
