This concentration exposes students to biomedical problems in the context of their work toward a master's in electrical engineering. This degree is suitable for students with a B.S. in electrical engineering or related fields. Depending on the orientation of a student's course of study, it may be beneficial to take courses from departments such as biology, chemistry or computer science/bioinformatics. It is recommended that students take an independent study course with an EE faculty member that will be counted as one of their EE electives.
