Housing and Location

On-Campus Housing

Student housing offers affordable on-campus living communities for those who appreciate the ease and convenience of being able to live onsite and quickly walk to classes, campus dining, event venues and athletic facilities.

University Village offers apartments with floor plans that can feature a balcony, washer/dryer, refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven and dishwasher. Amenities include a swimming pool, volleyball court and outdoor grills. Billiards, ping-pong tables and a student center are located in the clubhouse.

University Commons residence halls offer a fully furnished three-bedroom suite that includes a loftable bed, desk, chair and dresser. Each suite has a shared bathroom with separate shower and toilet, as well as a common living area with a couch and built-in shelves for a small refrigerator, microwave and television.

Availability is not guaranteed. Apply for housing as soon as you receive your UT Dallas admission letter.

Off-Campus Housing

The area surrounding the UT Dallas campus is rich with a variety of off-campus housing options, including apartments, duplexes and single-family homes.

The weather in the Dallas area is hot in the summer and cold in the winter, with very pleasant spring and fall seasons. Temperatures in summer range from 70s to 90s Fahrenheit (23 to 36 degrees Celsius). Winter temperatures generally vary in the 40s and 50s Fahrenheit (4 to 14 degrees Celsius).

Getting Around

The University's location offers convenient access to Richardson, Plano, Dallas and Fort Worth. You may not even need a car while you're here, as the University provides multiple transportation resources to students, such as:
