Confucius Institute
The relationship between China and the United States is of the utmost importance, not only for the two nations but also for the entire world. In 2007, The University of Texas at Dallas and China Three Gorges University established the first Confucius Institute in Texas. Its purpose is to increase mutual respect and cooperation specifically between the people of China and the Southwest region by promoting the study of China's language, history and culture.
