“Become a Gong Fu Panda”

In Chinese, Gong Fu (功夫) doesn't only mean Kung Fu, but also means skills and talents.

Do you want your children to learn some real Gong Fu?

Enroll them in the Become a Gong Fu Panda – 2017 Chinese Language and Culture Summer Camp, offered by the Confucius Institute at The University of Texas at Dallas.

This three-week camp for children 6 years and older will focus on building Chinese language skills and developing specific talents in Calligraphy, painting, Kung Fu, Tai Chi, folk dances, and crafts.

Daily immersion language classes and fun activities will enable your children to learn fast while having great fun!

Camp Groups:

Group A: age range 6 - 8
Group B: age range 9 - 11
Group C: age range 12 and older

Greet and Open House:

Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 7:00pm in JO 4.614, parents can meet, greet and communicate with each other for carpools and other help-out. There will be a Q & A session as well.

Camp Time:

June 12th – June 30th, 2017. Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Closing Ceremony and Show Day:

Friday, June 30, 2017, at 2:00pm in Jonsson Performance Hall, campers will show and display what they have learned in the camp. Certificates and awards will be presented. Parents and friends are invited.

Camp Location:

Camp is held in Eric Jonsson Academic Center (JO), at The University of Texas at Dallas.

Cost:

$250/one week
$450/two weeks
$650/three weeks
Cost includes a camp T-shirt, daily drinks and snacks, a completion certificate and group photo. Campers bring their own lunch boxes.

Registration deadline is June 5th. Payment and required forms must be received before the first day of the camp—June 12th.

Cancellation and Refunds:

A cancellation fee of $50 will be deducted from the cost refunded if cancellation is made before the first day of camp. No refunds are given if cancellation is made after the camp has started.
