Lighting Design

DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

Students will learn the fundamentals of theatrical lighting design. From concept to implementation, students will study the various needs a production requires. Dance, Concert and theatrical lighting will be discussed. Students will learn the fundamentals of justification, drafting, color theory, instrument usage, photometrics, texture, programming and script interpretation. Previous knowledge of technical theatre is helpful, but not required.
