Stage Management

DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

Students will learn the organizational and professional skills needed to properly manage a performance production. Proper communication, social engineering, problem solving, cue calling, performer interface and protocol will be covered. Students will gain a solid foundation in the managing of a cast and crew, and the skills to negotiate obstacles presented in a live theatre situation. "Real world" situations will be used as examples of problems faced by a production stage manager.
