DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

An Introductory class in the basic skills of Classical and finger-style guitar for both beginning and intermediate students. This course focuses on basic musical elements (melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, etc.) as well as the comprehension and application of musical notation to the guitar and the universal musical language. Technical focus is on correct posture, hand positions, accurate tuning, playing alone and with others.

Solo Guitar Playing Book 1 Fourth Edition by Frederick M. Noad

COURSE REQUIREMENTS/EVALUATION CRITERIA:

Guitar (some are available for rent through the school), book.
