DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

MUSI 3388.502 will meet on Tuesdays from 7:00 PM – 9:45 PM in AH1 1. 106

The class MUSI 3381.502 will rehearse as an orchestra or multiple ensembles to study and perform classical music of different periods. The Orchestra will participate in a performance during the Spring Arts Festival at the end of the semester [Exact day and time TBA].

Each student is required to maintain the best possible quality performance by practicing individual exercises for a specific instrument on which they perform.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS/EVALUATION CRITERIA:

The participation in the Spring Arts Festival is equivalent to a Final Exam.
Students of the class MUSI 4346. 503 are also required to attend 2 music performances on the UTD campus and 1 performance off campus. Students are required to write a review on the performance with a short biographical/ historical information on composers [who’s music they listen at the attended performance] and provide a program.
