DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

This course will prepare students to understand and use the English grammar system. As speakers of English we have an immense knowledge of grammar but rarely appreciate its complexity. Students will be expected to learn about the basic systems which comprise English grammar and to be able to make these systems explicit to others.
