Advanced Translation Workshop
The goals of the “Advanced Translation Workshop” is to introduce two major activities of the practice and theory of translation.
1. The pursuit of a major translation project of a text chosen from poetry, fiction, drama, or essays.
2. The preparation of a review of a book translation that has recently been published. To chose an appropriate text to be reviewed will be discussed with the instructor.
3. A critical essay interpreting and evaluating the multiple published of translation of a major international author or the preparation of an interview with a translator.
All projects are viewed under the umbrella of becoming publishable.
Documents to facilitate the various projects will be available to students on a special translation studies Website.
