Day:
M Time: 7:00 PM - 9:45 PM
Course Title:
Hip-Hop

DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

This course is an opportunity to use the elements of hip-hop culture (i.e., mixing, scratching, sampling, etc.) to create original movement. Physical story-telling, laban movement theatre vocabulary, and hip-hop dance steps will be remixed by you to express your particular genius through the body.

This is an advanced class. It is a class designed to create and choreograph new movement vocabulary using hip-hop culture as a theoretical frame. While we will dance, this course is ideal for students who are interested in creating fresh vocabulary instead of students who are primarily interested in learning hip-hop dance.
