Play Structure and Analysis

DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

This course introduces students to reading and writing about plays in the context of play structure and analysis. Engaging with plays from a variety of authors and styles, the course will develop students’ ability to read plays closely while analyzing structure, theme, context, through a variety of interpretive perspectives.

5 short writing assignments designed to hone students’ emergent critical voices.
