Course Title:
Introduction to Latin American Studies

DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

An interdisciplinary introduction to the theories, methodologies, topics, and themes relevant to the study of Latin America. Required of all students in the M.A. program in Latin American Studies. Can be taken as an elective by all other graduate students in the School of Arts & Humanities.

REQUIRED TEXTS:

Books will be available at Off-Campus Books and the UT Dallas Bookstore.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS/EVALUATION CRITERIA:

4 precis assignments (7.5% each); 3 short papers (20% each); seminar participation (10%)
