Course Title:
Dance Performance

DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

This course will focus on performance opportunities and performance projects. The main emphasis for spring 2013 will be in contemporary dance, but the ensemble may also perform a tap or jazz work. Participation in this class during spring 2013 may include attending the American College Dance Festival Regional Conference at Sam Houston State University on March 5-9.

Audition - December 8, 1-4pm in Rehearsal Hall, JO 1.216.

Although there is a set meeting time, the class will work on a flexible schedule to accommodate rehearsals and production needs. Any questions concerning this course should be directed to Michele Hanlon mhanlon@utdallas.edu

COURSE REQUIREMENTS/EVALUATION CRITERIA:

Students fulfill course requirements through rehearsals and performance and will be selected according to availability and movement ability. In most cases auditions will be held to determine casting. Audition for the spring semester 2013 is required and will be held on December 8, 1-4pm in the Rehearsal Hall (JO 1.216). Students may also participate in the production aspects of a particular event, such as creating a project, rehearsal, technical needs, costuming, and marketing.
