Course Title:
Intermediate Spanish II

DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

Intermediate Spanish II builds on Intermediate Spanish I, both in the classroom and online, introducing learners to more advanced vocabulary and structures, while at the same time reinforcing language acquired in previous semesters. The text, Gente: nivel intermedio, utilizes a task-based content-based approach, incorporates culture, and introduces students to authentic language material (realia) through use of state-of-the-art online technology that create a 24/7 active language-in-culture environment.

All four skills involved in learning a foreign language (listening, speaking, reading and writing) will be integrated into the course work and evaluations.

Students enrolling in 2312 must have completed Spanish 2311 at UTD or its equivalent at another college or university. All other students, regardless of their background or previous language experience, must take the online placement exam located here:

Students must provide their score to advisers and bring them the first day of class
