Course Title:
Advanced Japanese I

DESCRIPTION OF COURSE:

This is the first half of the advanced level of Japanese language class. The course is designed to further develop the command of Japanese, not only in comprehension, but also in production through weekly assigned essays and class discussions. The course also emphasizes an understanding of Japanese culture and society through the texts and connected activities. In addition to the above, the building the stronger knowledge of kanji and practicing of Japanese word processing techniques are encouraged throughout the course.

Pre-requisite: Two years worth of Japanese study.
