Modern Latin American History

Description of Course:

A survey of Latin America from independence (roughly 1821) to the present, the course will emphasize the intersection of far-reaching political trends with local cultures in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Prerequisite: HIST 1301, HIST 1302, HIST 2301, HIST 2330, HIST 2331, or equivalent.
