Course Title
Theater/Performance Ensemble

Description of Course:

Production participation (acting, set, lighting, costumes, media) in the fall performance of Tragedy: A Tragedy or another approved performance/theatre project. Contact the instructor to arrange a project alternative.

Student may fulfill their course requirements in any number of ways. Those cast as performers or serving on the creative teams of the productions will determine their course requirements as determined by their participation and in coordination with the instructor. Creative team participation may include performing, programming, design, directing, writing, or other creative activity. Creative participation is determined by interview and/or audition assessment.

Those not cast as performers or part of the creative teams are welcome to enroll in the class and may participate in any number of ways, which might include: production assistance, performance understudies, publicity, technical assistance (set, lights, costume), front of house, or other activity suited to their ability and interests. For further information please contact the instructor or directors of individual projects.

Course Requirements/Evaluation Criteria:

Supervised course work requirements and schedule will be determined by the student's participation. A journal documenting the progress and methods and/or final paper of individual participation will be required.
