Course Title
Procedural Animation

Description of Course:

Animators produce procedural animation by defining a procedure or a set of rules,
parameters and initial conditions. Digital special effects (e.g., water, smoke and
fire) and behavioral animations (e.g., flocks, herds and crowds) in films and games
are often created using procedural methods. In this course, students are
introduced to procedural methods of generating 3D models, textures and animations
using Side Effects Houdini.
