Course Title
Intermediate Spanish II

Description of Course:

Intermediate Spanish II builds on Intermediate Spanish I, both in the classroom and online, introducing learners to more advanced vocabulary and structures, while at the same time reinforcing language acquired in previous semesters. The text utilizes a communicative content-based approach, incorporates culture, and introduces students to authentic language material through use of state-of-the-art online technology that create a 24/7 active language-in-culture environment.

All four skills involved in learning a foreign language (listening, speaking, reading and writing) will be integrated into the course work and evaluations.

Prerequisite: Spanish 2311 at UTD, equivalent credit from another college or university, appropriate AP or CLEP score.

All students, regardless of their background or previous language experience, must take the online placement exam located here:*

http://www.utdallas.edu/ah/students/language_placement.html

Students must enroll in the course that corresponds to their score, provide their score to advisers to enroll in that course, and bring them the first day of class.
