Comparative Philosophy

Description of Course:

I am building this course from scratch. The reading list may consist of philosophical texts by Aristotle, medieval Christian and Islamic, Chinese, Indian, and early modern Christian philosophers (viz., Descartes, Humes, and Kant); and two works representing comparative and historical studies of philosophy.

Required Texts:

Hippocrates G. Apostle and Lloyd P. Gerson: Aristotle: Selected Works (The Peripatetic Press, 1982). We will read selected excerpts.
