Themes and Ideas in American History

Description of Course:

Making History in the Digital Age: Dramatic changes in digital technology have transformed our culture. But what do these technological changes mean for how we understand, teach, and write history? This class will ask students to analyze emerging scholarship on the digital humanities, evaluate existing digital projects, and collaboratively produce new tools using a variety of digital technologies. Programming knowledge will be useful but is not required.
