A&H People: Dr. Monica Rankin

Although only in her third year as an Assistant Professor, Monica Rankin has already had a considerable impact on A&H. In addition to being a promising young scholar, she has already received the annual A&H Outstanding Teaching Award, helped design a proposal to create an MA in Latin American Studies and attracted national attention for her use of Twitter to increase participation in her American History survey course. read more...

Giving Notes

On June 17, 2009, UT Dallas served as the venue for the signing of the “Tier One bill” into law. This landmark legislation creates state matching funds for gifts directed to purposes that support the development of more national research universities in Texas. Seven state institutions, designated as “Emerging Research Universities,” are eligible for these funds. read more...
