Sin, Sex, and the C.I.A.
Venue: University Theatre
by Michael Parker and Susan Parker
Directed by Kathy Lingo
Huge Oil reserves have been discovered in The Chagos Islands. O.P.E.C. is pressuring the Chagosians to join the cartel. A bumbling C.I.A. agent and an under Secretary of State, whose life appears to be run by her libido, are sent to a safe house in the mountains of Virginia to begin negotiations for the U.S. to place The Chagos Islands under their protection. Add to the mix a stranded televangelist, his not-so-innocent secretary, a glamorous neighbor and an ex-marine caretaker who isn’t all that he seems, and we are left with a complex, laugh-out-loud farce that pokes fun at American diplomacy, secret agents and hypocrisy.
