Tani E. Barlow, the T.T. and W.F. Chao Professor of Asian History and Director of the Chao Center for Asian Studies at Rice University, discusses "Chinese Women and Advertising in the 20th Century." Barlow is a scholar of feminism, postcoloniality, and history in Asia and most specifically in China.
