Artist Statement/Description: Through the study of Nature and the human figure, Natalie Barletta attempts to revitalize a respect among the audience for the Earth we inhabit by emphasizing connections and frailty we share with the environment.

Bio: Born and raised in Texas, Natalie Barletta is graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Visual and Performing Arts.  Her concentration is in Visual Arts with an emphasis in Photography; she also is completing a minor in Environmental Studies. Through her background in Psychology and her experience as a member of the UT-Dallas Sustainability Club, Natalie is working to stimulate the intimate relationships we have with Nature and to spread awareness and appreciation of the interconnectedness between humans and our forever-giving environment. 

Natalie has studied and volunteered abroad in Costa Rica working on sustainability initiatives to benefit human and environmental health.  At UT-Dallas, she exhibited in Photoworks 2016 and The Art of Content at the beloved Art Barn.  She was awarded the 2016 Jonelle and Bryce Jordan Scholarship for students in the arts.  She currently works in freelance photography.
