Art History

The professional study of works of art is a real strength of the interdisciplinary arts and humanities program at UT Dallas. With world class scholars in the Italian renaissance, impressionism and contemporary art, access to the great public and private collections of the Dallas-Fort Worth Area, a program of visiting scholars and museum professionals, and related courses in gallery management, painting, photography, sculpture, technology, literary studies and history, UT Dallas offers undergraduate and graduate students the chance to "dip into" art history, pursue a minor or design a sophisticated program of study. The University is also home to the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Museums (CISM) and French Regional American Museum Exchange (FRAME).
