Annual Texas Guitar Competition and Festival
March 1 - 3, 2012
UT Dallas Alexander Clark Center (formerly known as the Conference Center)
This unique Texas competition, designed to showcase outstanding classical guitar students, will award approximately $8,000 in cash prizes to the winners. Over the three-day event, students can compete and attend master classes and concerts by internationally recognized guitarists. We have a youth competition for ages 11-18 as well as the main competition for college-level students.
This year's guest artists will be Jeff Cogan and international artists Duo Melis.

Semi-finals of the competition 10 am – 1 pm Clark Center (not open to the public)
Master Class with Duo Melis 7 – 9:30 pm Clark Center (free)
Friday, March 2
Master Class with Duo Melis 3 - 5 pm AH1- Choir Room and Band Room
Pre-show : Orange County Youth 7 pm Clark Center
International Competition Finals 8 pm Clark Center (free)
Saturday, March 3
Youth Competition
Junior division 10 am – noon AH1 - Choir Room (1.106)
High School Level 1:30 – 3 pm AH1 - Choir Room (1.106)
