Rhetoric 1302: Course Evaluations

Student evaluations of each course you teach will be conducted each semester, usually at the end of the semester. The results of these evaluations can be valuable resources as you seek to improve the effectiveness of your teaching. Evaluation forms and instructions will be provided for each class you teach. You are required to facilitate these evaluations.

The procedure is very simple.

  1. Designate a responsible student in each class you teach.
  2. Have that student distribute the evaluation forms to other students.
  3. Have that student monitor the completion of the evaluation forms. Students should complete their evaluations individually, privately.
  4. Have that student collect all evaluation forms, place them in the envelope provided, seal the envelope, and deliver the envelope to the Arts and Humanities office.
  5. During all aspects of course evaluations, you must not be in the classroom. You should leave before the process starts and should not return until the evaluation forms have been delivered to the Arts and Humanities office.
