Requesting Classroom
Multimedia Technology

A broad range of multimedia technology is available for you to use in your classroom(s). This includes VHS and DVD players (with monitors for viewing) and CD and cassette tape players. Such equipment must be ordered through University Media Services. Please follow this process when ordering multimedia technology for your classroom(s):
  • Send an email request to FILM@UTDALLAS.EDU at least 24 hours prior to your intended use of multimedia technology in your classroom(s)
  • In this request provide the following information:
    1. Your name
    2. Your class name (Rhetoric 1302, Section XXXXX, for example)
    3. Your classroom location (JO 4.122, for example)
    4. The time your class meets (1:00-2:15 pm, for example)
    5. The time span you intend to use the equipment (you might want to use it during two back-to-back classes, for example)
    6. The date for which you are requesting media equipment (Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, for example)
    7. The media equipment you are requesting
    8. Your contact information (email address and office telephone number)
  • Be present at your classroom early so you can unlock the door for the Media Services delivery person
  • Arrange with the Media Services delivery person when they can retrieve the equipment from your classroom

The requested equipment will be delivered to your classroom just prior to your class, and retrieved at the end, or at the end of the time span you indicated it would be used.
