Bilingual Readings
A celebration not only of translation but of literature from around the world, the Bilingual Readings are a unique and extremely popular feature of each ALTA conference. Sessions, which can last up to ninety minutes, are divided into 15-minute segments – or 30 minutes if the author attends. The informality of sessions allows listeners to come and go as they please, although the readings are always well-attended, and many participants stay the entire time.
For a chance to participate in the Bilingual Readings taking place at the 2013 ALTA conference (October 16-19 in Bloomington, IN), you will need to provide the translator’s name, name of the original poet or writer, language translated from, author’s original country, and genre. More details will be available soon.
