Bilingual Readings
A celebration not only of translation but of literature from around the world, the Bilingual Readings are a unique and extremely popular feature of each ALTA conference. Sessions, which can last up to ninety minutes, are divided into 15-minute segments – or 30 minutes if the author attends. The informality of sessions allows listeners to come and go as they please, although the readings are always well-attended, and many participants stay the entire time.
For the 2011 Conference, Alexis Levitin will once again organize the Bilingual Readings series. A schedule of the bilingual readings is available in the conference program. Any requests for changes should be directed to Alexis at levitia@plattsburgh.edu.
