The 2011 ALTA annual conference will be held at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri, from November 16-19, 2011. Visit the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association website to learn more.

The deadline for reserving rooms at the special conference rate of $134 is MONDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2011.

ALTA members are responsible for reserving their own rooms. The Dallas office unfortunately cannot reserve rooms for ALTA members.

There are 2 ways to reserve a room:

• Call the Global Reservations Center at 1-866-856-9717. Please mention that you are part of the group Amer Literary Translators Assoc (their computer system only allows for a limited number of letters).
• Go to: http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/intercontinental/en/gb/dates-preferences/MKCHA, enter at the top your preferred dates (clicking on “Check-In Date (required)” and “Check-Out Date” will bring up a calendar), then scroll down to “Group & Corporate” and enter under “Group Code” ALT. Then click on “Check Availability” and then make a selection on the next page. (You might then need to confirm the rate again on another page.) Finally, enter your information.
