Come one and all to the twelfth year of ¡Declamación!. If you have never attended, don’t miss it; if you have never participated, give it a try. You will be treated to an evening full of poetry, theater, sometimes music, and always surprises, hosted by Barbara Paschke and friends on Friday, October 18 (time TBD) at the 2013 ALTA conference. The show will begin with those who sign up in advance, followed by an open-mike session, time permitting.

RULES: You must recite from memory (no reading). You may NOT recite poems originally written in English: that is, you may recite English translations (your own or someone else’s) and/or original poems in other languages. You may not recite your own poems — this is a translation conference, after all. Time allotment is approximately five minutes. You can use all the time, or just 30 seconds — it’s up to you. More information about signing up will be available as the conference approaches.
