Bio: Marta del Pozo Ortea is a literary critic, poet and translator. She has a PhD in Spanish literature from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Her books of poems La memoria del pez (2008) and Gebel Musa [Reloaded] (2011) have both received literary recognition in Spain. Together with Nick Rattner, she has translated into English Viento de Fuego / FireWind, by the Peruvian Poet Yvan Yauri (Ugly Duckling Presse, NY). Her translation into Spanish of Resonance, by the American poet Richard Jackson, is forthcoming this year. She is now working with Aníbal Cristobo on the translation of Robert Bringhurst book of poems The Beauty of the Weapons. She is now conducting an MFA in creative writing at NYU, where she is also an Adjunct Professor of Spanish.
