How It Started
The UT Dallas Alumni Fund-Student Grant Program began in the Fall of 2005 when funds were identified by President David E. Daniel to be used in support of programs and projects that directly benefit the students at The University of Texas at Dallas.
Under the direction of Dr. Darrelene Rachavong, Vice President of Student Affairs, a committee of student affairs staff, development officers, faculty, and student representatives was formed to oversee the selection process for grant awards.
Grants of up to $5,000 are awarded based on guidelines established by the committee. The grant process is open to all UT Dallas recognized departments and units. Preference is given to proposals submitted by students. Applications may also be submitted on-line.
