Grants of up to $5,000 are awarded based on guidelines established by the committee. The grant process is open to all U. T. Dallas recognized departments and units. Preference is given to proposals submitted by students.
Requirements
Grant requests will be reviewed by a committee of faculty, staff or students.
Awarding of grants will be based on merit of the application, financial need and availability of funds.
The maximum amount awarded to any project will not exceed $5,000, unless otherwise approved by special action of review committee.
Projects should improve the life/experience of members of the current student body.
Preference will be given to new programs or to meet a one-time need, not to provide annual funding for existing programs on an on-going basis.
Programs/projects should not be for the direct benefit of a secondary charity or organization.
The program or event should take place on the UT Dallas campus and the majority of participants must consist of UTD Dallas students.
Funds must not be used for: religious or political activities, students other than UTD students, events at which alcohol is served.
Awards are event/project-specific and may only be used to pay pre-approved expenses.
Travel requests for special and unique opportunities, as determined by the review committee, will be considered.
Names and information for outside speakers and/or performers should be included.
