Debbie Landa (BGS '79) is part owner of Artists' Showplace Gallery in Richardson, which shows and sells art, sculpture, and handmade jewelry. She also mentors a student in the UTD MBA program.
Katherine Stenzel (BA '81) recently moved to Luanda, Angola to follow her partner in his work with Halliburton. She has spent the last three and a half years in Thailand, where she continued her education and attended the University of Phoenix online, earning her Masters in Education with a specialization in Adult Learning and Distance Learning.
Jeff Scheel (BGS '87) and his band Gravity Kills will host radio station KMYZ 104.5's The Edge 12th Birthday Bash May 19th in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Gravity Kills landed a recording contract with TVT records following the 1995 release of their hit song "Guilty." They released three full length albums, "Gravity Kills," "Perversion," "Superstarved" and one re-mix CD "Manipulated" before officially breaking up in 2003.
Dwaine Moore (BA '88) was recently appointed as Director, Strategic Relationships for GE Healthcare.
Charles A. Cox (BS '90) retired from Texas Instruments in 1996 after completing his Master of Divinity degree at SMU. He went on to work for several United Methodist churches in Texas before retiring in June 2006. He and his wife Jan, who retired from UTD after 27 years, now live on the north shore of Lake Texoma.
Thomas Hunley (MS '90) is the Chief Operating Officer for Branch Banking at PNC Bank in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. PNC Bank operates over 1000 branches and is one of the largest "super regional" banks in the country.
Anthony Reed (MS '92) completed running the 26.2-mile Antarctica Marathon on February 26 and the Fin Del Mundo Marathon in Argentina on March 6. The Antarctica Marathon is one of the most difficult races in the world.
Daisy Harris (BA '93) was recently promoted to the position of Talent Acquisition Manager at Texans Credit Union. She says "it is a very rewarding and exciting new career because Texans is a fast-moving, winning organization committed to employee and member satisfaction."
Sean Duncan (BA '96, MS '00) and Pam Pongsatianwong (BS '97) are happy to announce the birth of their first child, Nathan Duncan. Nathan was born in January 2007. Sean and Pam met at UTD as undergraduates, and Sean asked Pam to marry him at UTD. They were married in 2001.
Matteo Cafiso (MBA '06) is a Financial Advisor with the Global Private Client Group at Merrill Lynch, where he advises High Net Worth clients. He has also earned the CFP® designation by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
