Summer 2007 Commencement
Friday, August 10 from 11:00am 4:00pm

Congratulations to our newest alumni! The summer 2007 commencement ceremonies will be held in the UT Dallas Activity Center. Students from the School of Management and the School of Arts and Humanities will graduate beginning at 11:00am. Students from the Schools of Behavioral and Brain Sciences, Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering, General Studies, and Natural Science and Mathematics will graduate beginning at 2:00pm. You must have a ticket to attend either of the ceremonies.

Thirsty Thursday at The Londoner
Thursday, August 16 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm

August's Thirsty Thursday will be at The Londoner at Beltway and Midway in Addison. Relax in the atmosphere of a true English pub! All Alumni are invited and appetizers are provided. To learn more about The Londoner, please visit the website.

Word ! Up - Poetry in THE PUB
Thursday, August 23 from 8:00pm 10:00pm

UT Dallas Alumni Relations, SUAAB, and Sojourn are teaming up with poets from UT Dallas and around the metroplex to bring you Word ! Up. This evening of poetry in THE PUB, with opportunities for open-mic performances, is always a popular event at UT Dallas. Come enjoy great poetry, great people, and complimentary pastries and Starbucks© coffee in UT Dallas' beautiful pub, located in the Student Union. Everyone is welcome!

Graduate Art Exhibition Opening Reception
Friday, August 24 from 6:30pm 9:00pm

Three UT Dallas graduate students, Eric Baze, Christi Nielsen and Diane McGurren, present three concurrent solo exhibitions in the Main and Mezzanine galleries of the University's Visual Arts Building. Admission is free. The exhibit runs from August 17 September 28, 2007 with the reception on August 24th. The works on view are varied, but all artists rely on photography and digital technology. Eric Baze uses digital photography in the context of his installation emphasizing the human form. Diane McGurren's documentary project incorporates book arts, digital photography and installation. Christi Nielsen combines both digital photography and video to create her performance-based imagery. Indian Classical Music Concert
Saturday, August 25 at 8:00pm

The Indian Classical Music Circle brings Satish Vyas, a santoor artist, and Mukundraj Deo, a tabla artist, to UT Dallas' University Theatre for a special performance of classical Indian music. Admission is $20 per ticket, free to Indian Classical Music Concert members and guests, free to UTD faculty/staff/students and $10 for all other students. KERA and DMA members can get 1 free ticket with the purchase of one regular priced ticket. For tickets: call (214) 336-3459. Fall 2007 Career Expo
Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 11:00am - 3:00pm

The Fall 2007 Career Expo offers full-time and part-time employment opportunities, as well as general career information from all industry sectors. Past events have enjoyed the participation of as many as 112 employers and 1,400 UTD students and alumni from a variety of academic disciplines. The expo will be held in the UT Dallas Activity Center. Go to the Career Center's website for more information about the Expo and to view a current list of employers registered to attend. Click on the link under the "Fall Career Expo" announcement and follow the instructions for logging in.
