A Look Back at a Great Year and a Look Forward to What is to Come!
As we come to the end of the 2006-2007 academic year it is a great time to look back at where we have been and look forward to what is ahead. Our featured story and slide show this month provides a look back at alumni and student activities and events. From tailgating softball players to networking events and family activities, it has been a busy year on and off the UT Dallas campus.
As we move into the final month of our academic year, we have a great deal to be excited about. August brings a new set of graduates who will become our newest alumni on August 10th, and August also welcomes a new set of students. What makes this transition so special for both alumni and new students is the shared excitement of what lies ahead.
Our new students are arriving on campus and looking forward to all of the challenges and new experiences that are to come. They have the benefit of the students, now alumni who came before them to help create a campus environment that fulfills both their academic and social needs. These new students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of student activities and campus traditions and have access to one of the best learning environments in the country.
Our newest alumni are moving on to start their professional careers or continue their education. These alumni take with them the impressive academic pedigree of a UT Dallas education and also the overall UTD experience. The memories shared on campus are those that tie alumni together and create a lifetime bond with the university.
The lifetime bond with UT Dallas is one that we want to continue with all of our alumni programming in the future. Looking ahead, we have a great year planned filled with a variety of events and opportunities for alumni to engage and get involved. Check out the events calendar and come out and join us. It is going to be another great year!
