October is a very exciting month for Alumni Relations with the launch of our new interactive alumni website, our first Thirsty Thursday on campus at The Pub, a new promotion in my office, and the kick off of our 2007-2008 Loyalty Fund.
Our new alumni website is up and running and waiting for you to register and get connected to the University and with fellow alumni. You can find out what is going on through our calendar and events tracker and register for upcoming events with just the click of a button. You can catch up with your UT Dallas friends and network with other alumni in your area through our Connect with Alumni option and you also can create a personal page with your profile where you can upload text and photos to show off all of the amazing people and places you have seen since your days on campus. All you have to do is click on the link titled Log In to register. Everything the new interactive Online Community has to offer is only a click away, so register today.
Yes, you heard it here first! The Offices of Alumni Relations and Student Life are co-hosting UT Dallas' first Thirsty Thursday at The Pub on campus. This is going to be a fantastic event and alumni, students, and faculty are all invited. This event will kick off Homecoming and Alumni Weekend and we invite you to come back to campus to enjoy great food and beverages from 5:30 to 7:30 on Thursday, October 18th, and the best part is that it is all on us! Click here to see more details and the entire Alumni Weekend lineup.
I am thrilled to announce that
M. Erin Dougherty, '03 and '07, MPA has been promoted to Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. She has been a tremendous asset to this office and she will continue to contribute her broad range of skills to the success of this office and our programs going forward. Join me in congratulating Erin on her new role!
Finally, keep your eyes out for the launch of our 2007-2008 Loyalty Fund campaign. We are kicking off a new year and your gift counts toward achieving an even higher participation rate. We have some great new ways that we will be asking for your participation and we hope that you demonstrate your support by making a gift.
Check out the new website and stay connected as there is a great deal more to come!
Kristin Ludwig, Ph.D.
