Fall 2007 Career Expo
Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 11:00am - 3:00pm
The Fall 2007 Career Expo offers full-time and part-time employment opportunities, as well as general career information from all industry sectors. Past events have enjoyed the participation of as many as 112 employers and 1,400 UTD students and alumni from a variety of academic disciplines. The expo will be held in the UT Dallas Activity Center.
Thirsty Thursday at Blue Mesa Grill in Addison
Thursday, September 20, 2007 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm
September's Thirsty Thursday will be at Blue Mesa Grill in Addison, located off of Beltline Road in the Villages on the Parkway center. All Alumni are invited and a complimentary quesadilla bar and appetizers are provided.
UT Dallas vs. Mississippi College Volleyball Game
Friday and Saturday, September 21-22, 2007
On Friday, UT Dallas volleyball plays Mississippi College in the UT Dallas Activity Center at 7:00pm. The Comets return on Saturday to play East Texas Baptist University at 6:00pm.
UT Dallas Volleyball Tournament
Friday and Saturday, September 28-29, 2007
UT Dallas volleyball hosts the ASC Crossover Tournament #1 with games against Howard Payne University at 4:30pm and Schreiner University at 7:00pm on Friday and games against Texas Lutheran University at 12:00pm and Sul Ross State University at 2:30pm on Saturday.
Concert: One O'Clock Lab Band
Friday, September 28, 2007 at 8:00pm
The four-time Grammy nominated premiere performing ensemble of UNT's world-famous jazz program, directed by Neil Slater, has received awards from National Public Radio, VISA International, the International Association of Jazz Educators and the Dallas Observer Reader's Poll. Regarded as unsurpassed among university jazz bands, they have performed at the White House, recently toured the Pacific Northwest and New York City, and were the special guest of His Majesty the King of Thailand. They will perform in the UT Dallas Conference Center. Please call the School of Arts and Humanities ticket office at (972) 883-2552 for prices and availability, and ask for the UT Dallas Alumni discount.
Sounds of Class
Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 5:00pm
Sounds of Class is back with "Movie, Music, Magic," featuring classic themes from Pink Panther, Harry Potter, Spiderman, and more! This annual event features a children's carnival, the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, and a fireworks finale, and is held on the lawn behind McDermott library.
