Give UT Dallas students a taste of the workplace before they graduate! The Externship/Job Shadowing Program is a new activity administered by the UT Dallas Career Center. It provides undergraduate students with a structured, hands-on opportunities to experience the “world of work,” without the longer term commitment of an internship or job. 

UT Dallas alumni and other employer sponsors agree to host currently enrolled students for 1-5 days during Spring Break, March 16-20, 2009. They will provide the student externs with activities such as: facility tours, informational interviews, attendance at staff meetings, observance of client activities, learning organizational policies and procedures, reviewing organizational literature, assisting with actual projects, completing office tasks and more.
