 As a relatively young university, UT Dallas has several new and intriguing traditions. One is our alma mater, which two sisters - an alumna and a current student - have been belting out since the song was first penned six years ago. |

 Fall is always a busy time at UT Dallas, and last semester was no exception. A carnival-themed homecoming kicked off the school year, and at semester's close we saw 1,729 new graduates become alumni during the fall commencement ceremonies. |

 As a master's student, this alumna marveled at the hard-working, first-generation students that transferred from area community colleges to attend UT Dallas. Nearly 30 years later, she manages the statewide program that helps today's community college students make the move to University of Texas System institutions. |
