As we work to move UT Dallas toward national research university status, we're investing time and effort in connecting with alumni. Last year, we embarked on the "Hello Tour," a series of alumni events hosted in different parts of the country and the world. So far, we’ve stopped in Indianapolis, Houston, Austin and Taipei, Taiwan. We were in San Diego on May 25 and will hit Pittsburgh on June 8. And we're headed to Albuquerque on July 26.

Ken Schaeffer (BA '77, MS '78) and his wife, Donna, of Oceanside, Calif., were in town for a high school reunion and dropped by UT Dallas to check out the construction progress.
Dallas natives Ken Schaeffer (BA '77, MS '78) and his wife, Donna, of Oceanside, Calif., were in town for a high school reunion and dropped by UT Dallas to check out the construction progress. It was their first visit in more than 30 years.
Along with Hello Tours for far-flung grads, we've been rustling up alumni in our own backyard through President's Gatherings, a program aimed at building our reputation in North Texas. The format is simple: President David E. Daniel shares an overview on all the remarkable things happening at UT Dallas, as well as insight on plans for the future. Alumni have served as some of our most helpful hosts.

We are also getting alumni back on campus to witness the remarkable changes to the University, both in its student body and and its appearance, as it evolves into a more traditional and impressive campus setting. We would love to give you a personal campus tour to show you what's new and what's still to come.
