UT Dallas alumni and other University supporters who work at TI recently gathered for an update on our progress toward becoming a Tier One research university. Along with President Daniel, University faculty and staff, attendees included three recipients of the University’s Distinguished Alumni Award: Bill Krenik, TI’s CTO for high volume analog logic, Rob Simpson MS’91, TI’s vice president of worldwide procurement and logistics, and Melendy Lovett MS’82, president of TI’s Education Technology business.

Alumni took home UT Dallas spirit items from the luncheon, which was held at TI’s south campus.
Melendy Lovett caught up with Michele Myers, director of development and alumni relations for the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
Brad Ruzicka BSTE’04 MBA’07 visited with Dr. Hasan Pirkul, dean of the School of Management.
Hao Liu (left) and Yuxiang Zheng PhD’10 (right) networked with Rod Wetterskog, director of development and alumni relations for the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science.
Dr. Daniel chatted with Torrence Robinson, director of education and workforce at TI.
Dr. Aaron Conley, vice president for development and alumni relations, discussed the impact alumni are having on UT Dallas today.
Cale Dingman BSEE’06 MSEE’08 was one of several alumni who won UT Dallas prizes at the event.
