The Role of Art-Making and the Arts in the Research University (2012)
In May, 2011, the ArtsEngine initiative at the University of Michigan met to discuss art-making in research universities. The task force sought to recognize and advance research university support for art-making and the arts as a matter of great cultural significance. 150 presidents, provosts, deans, directors, and other faculty and administrative leaders from 41 Research I universities across the United States attended.
